K2 Systems SingleRail 36 Mounting Kit 2 Modules Portrait with 2.40 m Rails is the complete fastening solution for the on-roof installation of two solar modules in vertical (portrait) orientation on tiled roofs. The kit combines two 2.40 m long SingleRail 36 aluminium profiles with six height-adjustable roof hooks and all required module clamps, creating a stable, corrosion-resistant substructure made of aluminium (EN AW 6063 T66) and stainless steel (1.4301).

The system in detail

The mounting rails

The K2 aluminium profile SingleRail 36 with a length of 2.40 m is made of mill-finish aluminium EN AW 6063 T66 and weighs around 769.53 g per metre. With a height of 36 mm and the design values Iy = 4.02 cm⁴ and Iz = 6.37 cm⁴, the rail forms the load-bearing basis of the substructure. Two rails carry the two modules mounted in portrait orientation. The rail ends are neatly finished with the SingleRail 36 EndCap made of PA type 6; the BlackCover SingleRail 36 made of PA6 GK30 covers the rail in the visible area.

The roof hooks

The K2 roof hook SingleHook 4S is made of aluminium EN AW 6063 T66 and weighs approx. 632.7 g per piece. It is adjustable in several axes (including 58–85 mm and 37–47 mm) and is mounted with A2-70 stainless steel screws. The kit contains six roof hooks for fastening the two rails to the roof battens.

The module clamps

The modules are fixed with the K2 universal end clamp Clamp EC 25-40 (black anodised, approx. 90 g/piece) at the module edges and the K2 middle clamp Clamp MC 25-40 (black, approx. 72 g/piece) between the modules. Both are designed for module frame heights of 25–40 mm (preset 30 mm) and are fastened with a tightening torque of 16 Nm. The kit contains four end clamps and two middle clamps.
