K2 Systems BasicRail mounting kit for 2 modules on trapezoidal sheet metal, portrait is the suitable substructure for the vertical mounting of two photovoltaic modules on trapezoidal sheet metal roofs. The kit contains all load-bearing rails, clamps and connectors required for secure fastening and is designed for module frame heights of 25 to 40 mm.

The system in detail

The mounting rails

The K2 BasicRail 22 forms the load-bearing element of the system. Each rail is 2.40 m long and manufactured from the extruded aluminium profile EN AW 6063 T66. With a second moment of area of Iz = 7.74 cm⁴ and a profile cross-section of A = 2.38 cm², it provides a stable support for the modules. The BasicClips with EPDM pad connect the rails to the trapezoidal sheet metal, while the BasicConnector Set is used to extend the rails at the butt joint.

The module clamps

The K2 Clamp EC 25-40 end clamps and the K2 Clamp MC 25-40 middle clamps are used to secure the modules. Both are designed for module frame heights of 25 to 40 mm and are installed with a tightening torque of 16 Nm. The clamps are made of aluminium (EN AW 6063 T66) with stainless steel screws (A2-70) and come in black.

The connection technology

The K2 BasicRail BasicLock 22 Set connects rails and fastening points, while the BasicConnector Set joins two rails at the butt joint. All connecting elements are made of stainless steel and ensure a durable, corrosion-resistant installation.
