Growatt MODA 20kWh All-In-One Battery Storage 15kW combines a three-phase hybrid inverter with 20 kWh of storage capacity into a stackable, complete system. It is ideal for households wanting to store larger amounts of solar power and stay supplied even during a grid outage thanks to 63 A backup power.

The system in detail

The hybrid inverter

The Growatt MODA 15KTL3-HU is a three-phase hybrid inverter with a rated AC output of 15,000 W. It operates with three MPPT trackers and an MPPT voltage range of 140-1000 V, allowing flexible connection of your PV strings. The maximum efficiency is 98.60%, with a European efficiency of 97.50%. Via the backup power connection, the unit delivers up to 15,000 VA rated apparent power and briefly 22,500 W (10 s), with a switchover time of 20 ms. Communication is possible via RS485, CAN, USB, and app.

The battery storage

Four Growatt APX 5.0P-B3 high-voltage battery modules form the storage system with a combined energy capacity of 20 kWh. They are part of the stackable MODA system and are mounted together with the inverter on a base. The maximum charge/discharge power of the system is limited by the inverter and the number of modules; at this expansion stage it is 15,000 W charging and 8,000 W discharging. The depth of discharge (DoD) is up to 100%.
