With 5 kW inverter output and 20.48 kWh usable storage capacity (LFP), the system is ideal for households looking to make the most of their self-consumption and want backup power on hand.

The System in Detail

The Hybrid Inverter

The GoodWe ESA GW5K-ETA-G20 is a three-phase all-in-one inverter with a rated AC output of 5.0 kW. It operates at a maximum efficiency of 98.0% and features three MPP trackers for flexible PV string configuration. The maximum PV input power is 10 kW, allowing the system to be oversized by up to 200%. Via the backup port, the inverter continues to supply connected loads in the event of a grid outage in under 4 ms.

The Battery Storage

The battery storage consists of four GoodWe ESA GW5.1-BAT-D-G20 battery modules with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells. Each module delivers 5.12 kWh rated energy, of which 5.0 kWh is usable - totaling 20.48 kWh rated energy and 20.0 kWh usable capacity. The manufacturer specifies a cycle life of at least 8000 charge cycles. An integrated heating mode and IP66 protection rating ensure reliable operation, while the integrated aerosol fire suppression system enhances safety. This lets you use solar power stored during the day specifically in the evening and at night, rather than having to consume it the moment it is generated.
