With 20.48 kWh nominal energy and a three-phase 10kW hybrid inverter, the system provides a solid foundation for high self-consumption and backup power.

The system in detail

The inverter

The GoodWe ESA GW10K-ETA-G20 is a three-phase hybrid inverter with 10 kW nominal power and a maximum PV input power of 20 kW, distributed across three MPP trackers. It connects photovoltaics, battery storage, and grid in one system and achieves a maximum efficiency of 98.1%. Via the backup port, it delivers up to 11.0 kVA in off-grid operation and switches to backup power supply in under 4 milliseconds in the event of a grid outage. Control is conveniently handled via app over Wi-Fi, LAN, or Bluetooth.

The battery storage

Four GoodWe ESA GW5.1-BAT-D-G20 battery modules form the high-voltage (HV) storage of the system. Each module, based on lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO4), delivers 5.12 kWh nominal energy and 5.0 kWh usable energy, for a total of 20.48 kWh nominal energy and 20.0 kWh usable energy. The modules are equipped with an integrated heater and aerosol fire suppression, and are rated by the manufacturer for a cycle life of at least 8,000 charge cycles. Thanks to floor stacking on a footprint of just 0.8 m width, the storage system can be installed in a space-saving manner.
