Description

The Sungrow SH5.0RT is a three-phase hybrid inverter with 5,000 W AC rated power that combines your PV system, battery storage, and home network in a single device. With a maximum efficiency of 98.0% (European efficiency 97.2%) and a maximum PV input power of 7,500 W, it is well suited for single-family homes that want to consistently maximize self-consumption of their solar power. This set includes the inverter together with a smart meter and communication dongle.

Smart use of your solar power

The included smart meter measures at the grid connection point how much energy your household is currently drawing or feeding in. The SH5.0RT uses these values to charge surplus energy into the battery first, instead of feeding it into the grid at low feed-in tariffs. In the evening and at night, the process reverses: the battery supplies your household before grid power is purchased. With a maximum charging power of 7,500 W and 6,000 W discharging power, the inverter is also designed for larger loads such as heat pumps or wallboxes.

Using the included dongle, you connect the system to your home network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. You can view generation, consumption, and state of charge at any time in the app, and your installer can update parameters and firmware remotely. Commissioning is guided through the app, and push-in connectors along with a plug-and-play AC connector shorten installation time. At 27 kg and 460 x 540 x 170 mm, the device remains easy to handle even when wall-mounted; the passive convection cooling operates at a nearly inaudible 30 dB(A).

For growing requirements, two units can be connected in parallel. In backup power mode, the SH5.0RT has unrestricted unbalanced load capability – individual phases can be loaded to different degrees without interrupting the supply.
