Description

The Sungrow SH10RT-20 is a three-phase hybrid inverter with 10 kW nominal power that combines solar, battery storage, and backup power supply in a single device. With a maximum efficiency of 98.4% and two independent MPP trackers, you can harness the full yield of your system even with shaded or differently oriented roof areas. The smart meter included in the scope of delivery records the energy flow at the grid connection point and forms the basis for high self-consumption.

How You Can Lower Your Electricity Costs Permanently

A hybrid inverter decides at every moment whether your solar power is consumed directly, temporarily stored in the battery, or fed into the grid. The integrated energy management system handles this control automatically, based on the readings from the smart meter. Surplus energy from midday is thus available in the evening, instead of flowing into the grid at low feed-in tariffs. Via RS485, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet, you can integrate the inverter into the free online monitoring platform and keep track of generation, consumption, and state of charge. For the installer, the push-in connectors, the plug-and-play AC connector, and app-based commissioning noticeably reduce installation time. At 27 kg and with dimensions of 460 x 540 x 170 mm, the unit remains compact enough for wall mounting in a utility room or garage. Firmware updates and parameter changes can be performed remotely, so your system stays up to date without an on-site visit.

Safety and Expandability

On the protection side, the SH10RT-20 comes with everything required for grid-parallel operation: an integrated DC load-break switch for the solar side, DC fuse for the battery circuit, leakage current detection, AC short-circuit protection, anti-islanding protection, and LVRT. Surge protection is implemented as Type II on both the DC and AC sides. Compliance with VDE-AR-N 4105 as well as IEC/EN 62109-1 and 62109-2 is documented in the datasheet. As your power demand grows, two units can be connected in parallel and communicate fully with each other, allowing you to double the backup power output without replacing your existing installation.
