Ingenious interplay: the system components in detail

The foundation of your new system is the proven K2 BasicRail long-rail system. To securely mount your 3 modules in a row, we deliberately rely on the shipping-friendly 2.40 m BasicRail 22 rails made of high-quality aluminum. Thanks to the included rail connectors (BasicConnector), these can be joined absolutely stably into continuous strands. This perfectly compensates for minor irregularities in the roof. The real highlight, however, is the clever fastening principle: the fiberglass-reinforced BasicClip is screwed directly onto the raised rib of your roof, while the mounting rail is simply clicked into the clip. Thanks to this floating mounting design, the aluminum can expand in a controlled manner under heat without transferring enormous shear forces to your sheet metal. A BasicLock per rail strand serves as a secure fixed point.

The universal mid and end clamps (OneMid and Clamp EC) ensure a rock-solid hold for the three modules. They cover almost all common frame heights from 25 to 40 millimeters and give your system an elegant look thanks to their black anodized surface. Roof attachment is lightning-fast and requires no pre-drilling: the included stainless steel thin-sheet screws form their own thread without chip removal and immediately seal the drill hole watertight thanks to the vulcanized-on EPDM sealing washer.
