Ingenious Interaction: The System Components in Detail

The foundation of your new system is the proven K2 BasicRail long rail system. To securely mount your 10 modules in a row, we deliberately rely on the shipping- and installation-friendly 2.40 m BasicRail 22 rails made of high-quality aluminum. Using the included rail connectors (BasicConnector), you simply plug these together into two continuous, highly stable strands (12.00 m each). This immediately compensates for minor unevenness in the roof structure. The true highlight, however, is the clever fastening principle: the fiberglass-reinforced BasicClip is screwed directly onto the high rib of your roof, while the mounting rail is simply clicked into the clip. This floating mounting allows the aluminum to expand in a controlled manner under intense heat without transferring mechanical shear forces to your sheet metal. One BasicLock per rail strand serves as a fixed and secure anchor point.

The universal mid and end clamps (OneMid and Clamp EC) ensure a rock-solid hold for the ten modules. They cover almost all common frame heights from 25 to 40 millimeters and give your system a high-quality look thanks to their black anodized surface. Roof attachment is done in a flash and without pre-drilling: the included stainless steel thin sheet metal screws form their thread themselves without chip removal and hermetically seal the drill hole in the same work step thanks to the vulcanized-on EPDM sealing washer.
