Ingenious Interaction: The System Components in Detail

The foundation of your new system is the proven K2 BasicRail long-rail system. To securely mount your 11 modules in a row, we deliberately use the shipping- and installation-friendly 2.40 m BasicRail 22 rails made of high-quality aluminum. With the included rail connectors (BasicConnector), you simply join these into two continuous, highly stable strands (each 14.40 m). This immediately compensates for minor unevenness in the roof structure. The real highlight, however, is the clever fastening principle: the glass-fiber-reinforced BasicClip is screwed directly onto the raised rib of your roof, while the mounting rail is simply clicked into the clip. This floating mounting allows the aluminum to expand in a controlled manner under intense heat without transferring mechanical shear forces to your sheet metal. One BasicLock per rail strand serves as a fixed and secure anchor point.

The universal mid and end clamps (OneMid and Clamp EC) provide rock-solid support for the eleven modules. They cover almost all common frame heights from 25 to 40 millimeters and give your system a high-quality look thanks to their black anodized surface. Roof attachment is done in a flash and without pre-drilling: the included stainless steel thin-sheet screws form their own thread without chip removal and hermetically seal the drill hole in the same step thanks to the vulcanized-on EPDM sealing washer.
