APsystems EZHI + EZ1-M 2000 Wp Balcony Power Plant with 5.12 kWh Storage combines four bifacial JA Solar modules with a hybrid microinverter and a low-voltage battery storage system. This lets you use your self-generated solar power not only during the day, but also in the evening and at night. With 2000 Wp module output and 5.12 kWh storage capacity, the set is designed for high self-consumption.

The system in detail

The solar modules

Four JA Solar JAM60D41-500/LB modules with 500 Wp each are used, 2000 Wp in total. These are bifacial n-type glass-glass modules in full-black design with a module efficiency of 22.6 %. Thanks to their bifacial design, the modules additionally use light that hits the rear side. The glass-glass construction ensures high mechanical load capacity and low power degradation over the years.

The hybrid microinverter

The APsystems EZHI is a single-phase hybrid microinverter that connects photovoltaics, battery and grid. It controls the charging and discharging of the storage unit, feeds solar power into the household grid and offers an off-grid UPS function. In addition, the APsystems EZ1-M is included as a further microinverter with two independent MPPTs and up to 800 VA output power, which can be used for AC coupling in the balcony system.

The battery storage

The Felicity LPBA48100-OL (LUX-E-48100LG04) is a LiFePO4-based low-voltage battery storage unit with 5.12 kWh nominal energy and 51.2 V nominal voltage. The manufacturer specifies a cycle life of ≥ 6000 cycles. An integrated smart BMS and an aerosol fire suppression system ensure safe operation. The depth of discharge is ≥ 95 %, so almost the entire capacity can be used.
