The system in detail

The hybrid inverter

The heart of the kit is the Growatt MOD 8000TL3-HU hybrid inverter with an AC rated power of 8000 W and three-phase grid connection. Two MPP trackers ensure stable and high-yield operation of your photovoltaic modules. With a maximum efficiency of 98.6% and an integrated backup power function (backup output with 8 kW rated power), the inverter is ideally equipped for operation with battery storage. AFCI protection as well as Type II surge protection on the DC and AC side round off the safety package.

The battery storage

The Growatt APX HV Battery 2.0 System (APX 10.0M-S3) is used as storage, consisting of one APX 5.0M-B3 power module and one APX 5.0P-B3 battery module. Together they provide a storage capacity of 10 kWh. The stackable design without complex wiring simplifies installation, and the cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate technology (LFP) ensures safe and long-lasting use. The wide operating temperature range of −20 °C to 55 °C makes the battery storage robust and versatile. The system can be expanded at any time later – mixing new and old modules is also possible.

Measurement & monitoring

The included Growatt TPM Smart Meter records your energy flows across three phases, while the ShineWiLan-X2 data logger handles the connection to Growatt monitoring via Wi-Fi or LAN. This way, you can conveniently keep track of generation, consumption, and the battery's state of charge at any time via the app.
