The system in detail

The hybrid inverter

The GoodWe ESA GW5K-ETA-G20 is a three-phase all-in-one hybrid inverter with 5 kW AC rated power. It features three MPP trackers and accepts up to 10 kW of PV input power, allowing significant DC oversizing. Maximum efficiency reaches 98.0%. In the event of a grid outage, the integrated backup port switches to island operation in under 4 ms. The inverter is IP66 rated and communicates via RS485, WiFi, LAN, and Bluetooth.

The battery storage

Five GoodWe ESA GW5.1-BAT-D-G20 battery modules form the heart of this GoodWe battery storage. Each module delivers 5.12 kWh rated energy (5.0 kWh usable), for a combined total of 25.6 kWh rated energy. The LFP cells (LiFePO4) are rated for ≥ 8000 charge cycles. Each module is equipped with integrated heating for reliable operation down to -20°C, an aerosol fire suppression system, and is IP66 rated. This ensures the solar power generated during the day is available exactly when your family needs it in the evening and at night.
