Solis S6-EA1P4.6K-L + Pylontech US3000D is the ideal set for anyone who wants to add battery storage to an existing photovoltaic system – without replacing the existing PV inverter. The AC-coupled Solis inverter with 4.6 kW rated power is connected on the grid side and charges the 48 V Pylontech battery with surplus solar power. This lets you start with 3.5 kWh of storage capacity and expand to up to 16 battery modules at any time.

Key Benefits for Your Home

Easy retrofit: AC coupling makes the set independent of the existing PV inverter. Connection is single-phase (1/N/PE) via quick-connect plugs, and the included cable set connects the battery and inverter.
Long-lasting LiFePO4 technology: The Pylontech US3000D is rated for over 8,000 cycles and a nominal lifespan of more than 15 years. The 95% depth of discharge provides 3.37 kWh of usable energy per module.
Smart control: The Solis S6-EA1P4.6K-L charges and discharges based on time-of-use (TOU) electricity tariffs, supports peak shaving, and can be monitored via Bluetooth and app. Firmware updates are performed remotely.
Flexibly expandable: Up to 16 US3000D modules can be operated in parallel within a battery group. Address assignment is automatic, and the 19-inch format makes installation in a rack or battery cabinet easy.

How the Inverter and Battery Work Together

The Solis inverter uses the smart meter to detect how much solar power is currently flowing into the grid and redirects this surplus into the battery. In the evening and at night, it feeds the stored energy back into your household circuit at up to 4.6 kW. The battery management system of the US3000D monitors every cell, automatically balances voltages, and protects against deep discharge, overcharging, overcurrent, and impermissible temperatures. Both components communicate via CAN bus, and the battery's soft-start function reduces current spikes when the inverter starts up. An energy-saving standby mode keeps the system's self-consumption low. The battery is certified to IEC 62619 and UN 38.3, has low self-discharge, and can be stored for up to six months without recharging.

Important for installers: With a single module, the maximum battery current of 74 A limits charge and discharge power to around 3.5 kW; the recommended continuous current is 37 A (approx. 1.8 kW). Only with two or more modules can you make full, continuous use of the inverter's output. Thanks to its IP66 protection rating, the inverter can also be mounted outdoors; the battery (IP20) belongs in a dry, frost-free indoor location with temperatures between 0 and 50 °C during charging.
