The system in detail

The battery modules

At the heart of the Growatt APX 30.0P are six battery modules of type APX 5.0P-B1, each with a rated energy of 5 kWh. Together they provide a total capacity of 30 kWh. Cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology is used, which stands for high safety and a long service life. A special feature of the APX series is Module-Level Energy Optimization: battery modules with different states of charge (SOC) and states of health (SOH) can be combined within a single system, so the storage can easily be expanded later with new modules.

The battery management system

The Growatt APX 98034-P2 high-voltage battery management system handles the control and monitoring of the entire storage system and is supplied together with the matching APX battery base. It ensures smooth interaction between the individual battery modules and forms the basis for the modular, stackable design of the system. As a high-voltage storage system, the Growatt APX 30.0P integrates harmoniously into your photovoltaic system and helps you avoid feeding valuable solar power unused into the grid, instead using it specifically when you need it – for noticeably lower electricity costs and a significant degree of independence from the public grid.
