The System in Detail

The Battery Modules

The heart of the Growatt APX battery storage system consists of three APX 5.0P-B1 battery modules, each with 5 kWh of rated energy. They are based on cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate technology (LFP), known for high safety and long service life. Module-level energy optimization allows modules with different states of charge (SOC) and states of health (SOH) to be combined in one system – ideal for later expansion of your battery storage.

Power & Battery Management

The high-voltage battery management system Growatt APX 98034-P2 is supplied together with the matching APX battery mounting bracket and controls the interaction between the individual modules. It monitors relevant operating parameters such as system voltage, current, cell voltage, and cell temperature, ensuring safe, efficient operation of your photovoltaic storage solution. Together, this results in a perfectly matched system that increases your self-consumption and makes you a bit more independent from the public grid.
