The system in detail

The power module (master)

The Growatt APX 5.0M-B3 power module forms the heart of the battery storage system and handles the control and energy management of the entire system. It is compatible with both single-phase and three-phase systems and continuously monitors state of charge (SOC), system voltage, currents, and cell and PCBA temperatures. Via the integrated CAN/RS485 interfaces, the master module communicates with the inverter, ensuring coordinated control of your battery storage.

The battery modules

Three Growatt APX 5.0P-B3 battery modules, each with 5 kWh, together deliver a usable storage capacity of 15 kWh of battery capacity. Together with the master module, which also contributes 5 kWh, this results in a total system energy capacity of 20 kWh. The modules use cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate cells and are installed in a space-saving stackable design without additional wiring. This lets you flexibly use your self-generated solar power exactly when your family actually needs it – for greater independence from the public grid and permanently lower electricity costs.
