Description

The GoodWe GW25K-ET is a three-phase hybrid inverter with 25 kW rated power for larger residential and commercial buildings. With three MPP trackers, a maximum PV input power of 37,500 W and connection to high-voltage battery systems, it reliably covers even demanding roof layouts. The matching smart meter is already included in the scope of delivery.

Self-consumption, load peaks and sector coupling

The GW25K-ET acts as a central interface between the PV generator, high-voltage battery, home network and public grid. The battery input is designed for Li-ion storage with a 500 V nominal voltage and an operating range of 200 to 800 V; charging and discharging take place at up to 2 × 50 A or 2 × 12,500 W respectively. This allows solar power generated during the day to be shifted specifically to the evening and night hours, noticeably increasing the self-consumption rate.

Through peak shaving, the device limits load peaks during operation - an important factor when demand charges or grid connection limits play a role. Communication takes place via RS485/CAN to the battery management system, via RS485 to the meter, and via Wi-Fi or 4G to the portal. Operation and monitoring are handled via LED display and app.

On the safety side, the inverter features string current monitoring, insulation resistance and residual current monitoring, DC and battery reverse polarity protection, anti-islanding protection, as well as AC overcurrent, short-circuit and overvoltage protection. A DC switch, a Type II DC surge arrester and a Type III AC surge arrester are integrated; AFCI is available as an option. With IP66 protection rating and an operating range of −35 °C to +60 °C, the device is suitable for outdoor wall mounting.
