The Eastron SDM630-Modbus V2 is a compact DIN-rail energy meter for single- and three-phase power grids. With direct connection up to 100 A, an RS485 Modbus interface, and bidirectional measurement, it is particularly well suited as an external energy meter for hybrid inverter systems – for example in combination with Deye hybrid inverters for controlling self-consumption and grid feed-in.

Precise Grid Measurement for Your Energy System

For a hybrid inverter to control feed-in to the public grid or optimize self-consumption, it requires an accurate measurement of grid exchange at the grid connection point. This is exactly the task performed by the SDM630-Modbus V2: it continuously records voltage, current, power, power factor, and imported and exported energy, and makes the values available via RS485. Mounting is space-saving on a 35 mm DIN rail, and configuration of the Modbus address, baud rate, and pulse outputs is done directly on the front panel. Two pulse outputs are also available for energy recording. This allows you to keep track of generation and consumption at all times, providing the basis for efficient, grid-friendly interaction between your components.
