The System in Detail

The Solar Modules

The set includes 24 JA Solar JAM54D41LB modules, each with a peak power of 455 Wp, resulting in a total nominal output of 10.92 kWp. The bifacial Full Black modules in glass-glass construction with N-type cells also utilize light incident from the rear, delivering higher energy yield. Note: The attached datasheet refers to the JAM78D10 430-450/MB series; the model-specific electrical values for the JAM54D41LB are not included therein.

The Inverter

The Fronius Symo GEN24 10.0 Plus is a hybrid inverter with 10 kW AC nominal output that intelligently combines photovoltaic generation and battery storage. It features two MPP trackers, an integrated backup power function, and is factory-compatible with BYD HVM storage units. This way, surplus solar power is automatically stored in the battery and made available in the evening. Note: The attached datasheet lists the Fronius Primo GEN24 series (single-phase); for the named Symo GEN24 SC 10.0 Plus, the phase configuration should be confirmed against the source.

The Battery Storage

The BYD Battery-Box HVM+ 8.3 is used as storage, consisting of the control unit (BCU/BMS) and 3 battery modules with 2.76 kWh each. This high-voltage storage (HV) provides usable energy of 8.28 kWh at a nominal voltage of 153.6 V and a battery efficiency of ≥ 95%. Thanks to its modular design, the capacity can be expanded at any time, and LiFePO4 cell technology ensures high safety.
