Introduction

The K2 Systems S-Dome 6.10 Mounting Kit is a well-designed complete solution for mounting **6 PV modules** on flat roofs with a fixed inclination of 10 degrees. This defined inclination improves the angle of solar radiation, potentially increasing energy yield.

The system is based on the proven Dome 6 System from K2, specifically optimized for flat roof solutions. The S-Dome (single-sided) variant allows for simplified installation and reduces the number of required components compared to double-sided systems.

All components are made from high-quality materials: aluminum profiles with anodizing or material according to K2 specification, galvanized or Magnelis coated steel profiles for windbreakers, stainless steel connection parts, and EPDM seals. This combination ensures corrosion resistance and durability even under harsh weather conditions.

The system is compatible with framed modules with frame heights between 30 and 50 mm – ideal for many commercially available solar modules.

By using SpeedPorters for ballasting (as an optional support carrier) and a well-thought-out wind cover (windbreaker), stability against wind loads is ensured, while minimizing the static load on the roof.

Overall, this results in a mounting system suitable for both residential and commercial PV projects, allowing flexible planning and implementation through modular components.

Functionality and Benefits

The set is designed according to the Plug-and-Mount principle: many components are pre-assembled or easily connectable, reducing installation time. The 10° inclination optimizes the angle of incidence of sunlight, especially in mid-latitudes.

The K2 DomeClamp clamps securely and precisely hold the modules – both end and middle clamps are anodized and designed for module frames from 30–50 mm. The black anodized layer provides a visually harmonious integration with dark module frames.

The rear windbreakers reduce underpressure at the module edge, minimize wind stress, and improve overall stability in wind zones.

For ballasting, suitable weights of approximately 25–40 kg can be positioned on the SpeedPorters (e.g., mounted on BasicRail). This solution efficiently distributes the load and avoids point loads on the roof surface.
