Productinformation in detail
ApSystems EZHI Balcony Power Plant with Storage – 1.5 kWp (3 × 500 Wp Modules)
This set bundles three bifacial JA Solar JAM60D41-500/LB_FB modules each with 500 Wp, the single-phase hybrid microinverter ApSystems EZHI, and a Felicity LUX-E-48100LG04 storage with 5.12 kWh. Result: up to 1.5 kWp solar power with only about 6 m² area. Surpluses go directly into the battery and are available at night or during a power outage – all without a professional installer.
Why the EZHI Outpaces the Competition
-
Hybrid instead of Standard: Simultaneous feeding, charging, and discharging – surpluses are automatically buffered and fed back when needed.
-
UPS Function < 10 ms: If the grid fails, the EZHI switches almost seamlessly. Router, lights & cooling devices keep running.
-
96% Efficiency thanks to GaN Power Electronics: More usable energy, zero fans, completely silent.
-
Full App Control: Adjust feed-in limit (800–1200 W) and retrieve live data with AP EasyPower via Bluetooth or WLAN.
-
IP65 Housing: Weatherproof for balcony, terrace, or garage roof.
-
Open Battery Interfaces: 48-V storage freely expandable.
Solar Modules: Robust 500 Wp Units
-
Performance: 500 Wp per module, totaling 1.5 kWp DC.
-
Bifacial Cell Technology uses backside light for > 5% more yield.
-
22.6% Module Efficiency – top class.
-
30-Year Linear Performance Guarantee and 15-Year Product Warranty.
-
Load Capacity: 5400 Pa front, 2400 Pa back.
-
Dimensions: 1953 × 1134 × 30 mm, Weight 27.3 kg per module.
Storage: Felicity LUX-E-48100LG04
-
Capacity: 5.12 kWh at 51.2 V.
-
LiFePO₄ Chemistry: > 6000 cycles @ 80% DoD.
-
Interfaces: CAN, RS485/232 – EZHI speaks native CAN.
-
Modular: Stackable up to 6 packs (30.72 kWh).
-
42 kg, 442 × 420 × 132 mm, IP20.
Installation in Five Steps – DIY-Friendly
-
Mount Modules – Align rails, tighten module clamps.
-
Wire DC – Plug MC4 connectors into the EZHI; 12–60 V input.
-
Connect Storage – Plug in CAN cable, screw in positive/negative.
-
AC Side – Plug Schuko or Wieland into the balcony socket; EZHI factory-limited to 800 W.
-
Start App, Scan, Done – Update firmware, set feed-in limit, check live data.
Plug-in solar devices up to 800 W are approval-free; you only register in the market master data register. Total effort including app: ~60 minutes.
Practical Benefits
-
Maximize Self-Consumption: Use power directly during the day, from the battery at night.
-
Emergency Power: Switching time < 10 ms – no interruption.
-
Portable Use: EZHI weighs 8 kg – also suitable for camping.
-
Scalable: More modules or storage? Just plug in.
-
Real-Time Monitoring: All energy flows in the app.
Zero Feed-In – Explanation and Setup
With zero feed-in, the generated solar power is used exclusively in your own household – either directly by consumers or for charging a storage unit. No energy is fed into the public grid.
Control is via the Ecotracker, which measures the power flow at the meter and instructs the inverter via the EasyPower app to limit the feed-in to 0 W. This ensures that no feedback into the grid occurs.
This function is useful or necessary if no feed-in permit is available or if only self-consumption is desired. Despite zero feed-in, the photovoltaic system must be registered in the market master data register of the Federal Network Agency. Systems with an inverter power over 800 W must also be registered with the local grid operator.
Setting Up Zero Feed-In (Tutorial)
Connect Balcony Power Plant:
Ensure the balcony power plant is correctly connected to the house grid and the inverter is operational.
Attach Ecotracker to Power Meter:
Attach the Ecotracker to the designated measuring point of the power meter (magnet point). Ensure correct seating and stable connection.
Add Ecotracker in the EasyPower App:
- Open the EasyPower app and log in.
- Go to Settings → Third-Party Devices → Add Device.
- Select the brand of the Ecotracker, assign a name, and confirm.
Activate Smart Connectivity:
After successful connection, switch again to Settings → Scene and activate "Smart Connectivity".
Activate Zero Feed-In:
In the app, turn on the "Zero Feed-In" option. This ensures that no power is fed into the public grid.
Check Function:
Observe in the app or at the meter whether the feed-in value remains at 0 W, even when the system produces power. This confirms that zero feed-in is active.
